Our cabanas are situated right on the beach, arguably one of the best in Belize. If you are looking for a place just to chill out and relax, with no need for fancy accoutrements, just beautiful beachfront, comfortable cabanas, reasonably priced….you’ve found your place! And....we have a few extras that you won’t find in other accomodations in the Garifuna village of Hopkins.

We also provide bicycles to rent so you can easily get around in the village. Our cabanas boast refrigerators, hammocks on the covered decks, colorful décor, friendly, helpful management, all included at a reasonable price.

We make payment easy too, accepting Visa/MC as well as US or Belizean cash.

Not all-inclusive, just easy-going, kick-back, beachfront ambiance at the north end of the village. Watch for “Lebeha Cabanas” signs as you come into town, or just stop and ask a local….everyone knows where the drumming center is.

The Garifuna coastal village of Hopkins, south of Dangriga (pop. approx. 2000), is a cool place to hang out for a while, soaking up the sun, the unique culture and atmosphere of the village. Lebeha Drumming Center, owned and run by Jabbar Lambey and Dorothy Pettersen, is a great place for some drumming lessons or just kicking back to listen to the locals drum.

Enjoy a beer and visit with the locals and other travelers. Nightly drumming sessions and/or lessons are usually part of the evening festivities. One of very few Garifuna villages along the Carribbean Coast, Hopkins is wonderful mix of African and Central American cultures. Life here runs at a slower, more peaceful pace, even by Belizean standards.

Our largest cabana sleeps 5 (one double bed, one double futon and one twin bed), has a dining table and chairs, refrigerator and small kitchenette. Bathroom with hot shower, toilet and wash basin. Deck is screen enclosed with hammock and deck chairs for relaxing and enjoying the unobstructed sea view. Great for a family or a group of friends who don’t mind sharing space together.
