"I arrived in Hopkins without a place to stay... spent the afternoon stopping in to check out most of the accommodation options in Hopkins --- and ended up in a Cabana at Lebeha Drumming Center and was very glad I did. There are three cabanas - and an amazing amount of sand between the cabana and the ocean with nothing but play space. Kept wishing I had a soccer ball.The cabanas are basic yet w/plenty of space and decorated very nice w/a nice Belizean flair. Great porch w/hammock. Peaceful and quiet area. The cabanas are about 4 blocks from the middle of town -- makes you feel like you are in the village yet you have the luxury of being right on the beach.

Dorothy and Jabbar are great - and the drumming center seems like a great thing for both tourists and for the community. There are a couple great restaurants very close walking distance right on the beach. One serves authentic Garifuna food about a 2 min. walk from the cabana."

In this welcoming and secure environment I could finally sit down and reflect on a lot of things. I miss our cabana, but most of all I miss the people of Hopkins. We fell in love with that town. "We loved this place! A friend of Jim's urged us to stop in Hopkins and we were so glad we did. And that reef, my God! I didn't think such beauty still existed in the Carribean. Sitting on the veranda of Cabana Azul and listening to the wind in the palms as evening approaches is one of life's finer things. Dorothy treated us like gold too."

"On a whim I stopped by Hopkins to try and catch a dive trip while the Whale Sharks were feeding. Wow, was I ever glad I decided to take this detour! Seeing these huge creatures up so close was fanastic and it inspires me to want to return to Hopkins next year. "Hopkins Seaside Cabanas is a perfect place to spend a day, a week, hell I'd have stayed a month if I could. Great pizza next door too. The drumming center was fun to hang out at during the evenings and a great place to meet some fellow travelers too ;-)"

"This magical little piece of Belize will always have a hold on us. It was our third time to the country but our first visit to Hopkins. We found Hopkins Seaside Cabanas quite by accident after stopping Dorothy on the street to ask directions.

What wonderful luck! Our little cabana was clean and colorful and just what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Ambergris Caye. Dorothy was a wonderful host providing us with information and suggestions as well as arranging an amazing snorkle tour for us."
